Something I should have learned in college I actually kinda want to try this. If you take a cheap bottle of vodka and run it through a Brita filter four times, it becomes comparable to Ketel One.

sometimes I hate the internet I was surfing around the internet and came accross an article on how an offshore online bookie suspended all bets placed on 'The Apprentice'. Apparently, earlier in the season, several large bets were placed on two particular contestants. The show is filmed before the first episode airs, so people affiliated with the show already know who the finalists are. Only the winner is announced live. The article then goes on say which two contestants were named! Bastards!! Why couldn't they have warned me. A simple "Hey, we're about to ruin it, so if you watch the show, don't read any further." But no, they just blabbed it out. So yes, now I know who is going to make it to the last show. If you want to read the article, here it is.

I suddenly feel very, very cold. Looks like Steve Spurrier will be the next coach at South Carolina. So with Spurrier, Richt, and Fulmer in the SEC East, I can't think of a better time for UF to break in a new coach. Spurrier's decision was apparently influenced by an offer from Hootie Johnson, a former South Carolina football player and head of the Augusta National Golf Course, for a free membership.

Abandon Ship!! If you've ever said (or know someone who's said) "If Bush wins, I'm moving to Canada", then this website is for you. They give a list of reasons why it's better to live there, although they could only think of five. They claim that they've been "Ranked by the United Nations as the best country in the world to live for eight consecutive years". So as long as you move back before the end of the 8th year, you're fine.

Look both ways and don't take your eye of the old lady Here's a snap shot from a traffic camera catching some old lady plowing through some poor guy. Notice the driver is still looking straight ahead.

Gross Factor: Not very, but will make you cringe a bit.

Good Movie Rented Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Loved it. Of course I really do have an inclination for movies that weren't assembled from the standard parts. Here's where I would go on about what I liked about the movie but then someone will get mad that I ruined it for them, even though they probably won't ever see the movie. Then to get back, they'll tell me the ending of a movie that I do want to see. Then I'll retaliate by putting nails behind their tires, then they'll try to frame me for mail fraud, and it just gets all out of control.

No SOS for Florida Steve Spurrier offically declined the UF coaching position. Dag !@#$#@ mother of #^%$^ Jesus %^@#$ horse crapping #@$@!! son of a @^&$@ viral infected piece of ^@#$@!! Ok, let me tell you how I really feel. I don't know if Foley & Co. have any clue what they're doing. I'm thinking boosters pressured Foley into firing Zook so Spurrier could make his triumphant return and lead us back into the top 5. Except, oops, Stevie boy doesn't want to come back. And I don't blame him. The SEC is a lot tougher. He's got enoungh of Daniel Snyder's money to pay his green fees for quite some time. I don't know what is going to happen. Can we lure somebody here? I guess we'll see.

Minor Inconveniece Got a call from our builder telling us that it's time to do a walkthrough before they put up the drywall. Obviously I'm not going to waste my free time, so I set up the inspection during work hours. It takes about 35 minutes to drive from downtown St. Pete to Apollo Beach, so I gave myself enough time to get there (rare for me). When I arrived, there were large stacks of drywall throughout the house, but no builder. Ok, I can wait. 10 minutes, 15 minutes, 20 minutes. OK, now I'm a little ticked. I drive over to the builders office which is in a model home. Nobody there. Ok, the TV was on and Kerry was about to announce his concession, so I entertained myself for a good 15 minutes, all the while noticing all the cool stuff I could run off with. Nobody showed, so I headed back over to St. Pete. I was pissed and I had a right to be. I took off work and these guys didn't even show up. By the time I got back to work, I had missed 2 1/2 hours. I gave the guy a call and left a message. That was Wednesday at 2:00. As of Thursday night, he still hasn't called back.

All fixed up

Ok, finally upgraded to MovableType 3.1. What does this mean to you? Absolutely nothing of course. Actually, if you want to comment, you'll have to log in (which I don't quite have working yet).

The whole reason I upgraded is because spammers have figured out how to post advertisements in comments. It's an automated process so they can post hundreds of ads in seconds. When I got back from Costa Rica, I had over 200 new comments, all spam. So now you'll need a login if you want to spam. Sorry for the inconvenience, but it beats having to wipe out 50 comments from spammers every day.

One of the new features (when I get around to implementing it) will be the ability to search all the posts.
