Sometimes I really appreciate shameless mass marketing
Don't forget that today is Free Cone Day at Ben and Jerry's. I got Phish Food.

New Pope
A new Pope was just elected to succeed Pope John Paul II. As expected, he did not choose the name Pope George Ringo I.

Scary stuff
I'm lazy, I know it. I pretty much use the same username and password for everything I do on the net. It's just easier. What's really scary is that a lot of scammers know this too. Let's say you go to some no name website that requires a logon. You enter your usual username and password and go on your merry way. Little do you know, the owner of the website is now testing out your credentials on sites like bankofamerica.com, wachovia.com, citibank.com. It's only a matter of time.

Interesting, well, maybe not.
I discovered last night that you can't catch a yawn from a dog.

Everything is ok again, relatively
Site's back up. I guess I don't need to tell you because you can obviously see that. I'm guessing any online purchases now require the billing address to match what the credit card company has on file. So when host tries to renew my site, addresses don't match, transaction gets rejected, host gets mad because they don't got my money, and site goes down. Next time I move, I'm going to hire someone to manage all my address changes.

I guess the cat is out of the bag
If you're a conspiricy theorist, I don't know you. No, seriously, I guess the whole Area 51/Groom Lake super secret base in the middle of the desert ain't so super secret anymore.
You can see it on Google Maps
Here's some other cool things I found
- An aircraft carrier docked at Mayport Naval Base in Jacksonville.
- WTC Ground Zero
- My neighborhood before our house was build (I'm very upset they didn't wait until we moved in).
- Golden Gate Bridge
- The Hollywood sign

You never know who's watching
I needed to get some soups for lunch, so I walked down to Publix to pick out a bunch for the rest of the week. The checkout lines were freaking nuts. They were wrapped around the aisles like a Disney ride. I gave out a loud huff in case there was an important manager who could sense my frustration and open up more checkout lines. No suck luck. So I threw my basket of soups down on an empty display shelf, which was a little louder than I wanted it to be. I smiled at the 150 waiting faces who turned to see what kind of impatient asshole was throwing food around the grocery store. I walked briskly toward the exit using my "Ha, I'm annoyed at your store so I won't be buying anything today" walk. (Yes, I practice it) I ended up getting Chinese. While scarfing down my boneless spare ribs back at the office, our secretary comes up and places a bag of soups on my desk. She saw me in the grocery store, picked up my soups and bought them for me. Talk about embarrassing.
