Cows prefer digital clocks
"According to some senators, farmers complained that a two-month extension [of Daylight Savings Time] could adversely affect livestock"
from
CNN
Ok, breathe in, and slowly breathe out. Just so you understand....(pausing for dramatic effect).....some people believe....that animals will be affected....by how we set our clocks....and some United States senators....are defending this belief....in Congressional debate.

Fight fire with fire
"Telemarketers make use of a telescript - a guideline for a telephone conversation. This script creates an imbalance in the conversation between the marketer and the consumer. It is this imbalance, most of all, that makes telemarketing successful. The
EGBG Counterscript attempts to redress that balance."

No, no, no, no, no, Gawd No!
Ever had that dream where you're trapped in a bad Miami Vice remake with Colin Farrel playing Crocket and Jamie Foxx as Tubbs? Why am I the only one?
Anyway, it's true. After a summer of Bewitched, Herbie, Bad News Bears, Batman, War of the Worlds, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Fantastic 4, The Dukes of Hazzard, and Deuce Bigalow, Hollywood is about to unleash the mother of all remakes, Miami Vice.
If you like punishment, here's a production shot
I was robbed
Quick, somebody call the Eyewitness Action 7 News On Your Side Business Busters Eye On Crime team! I was just charged 8000% shipping on an internet order. That's right, Eight-thousand percent, ok, I rounded a bit. But still.
In completely unrelated news. I recently discovered that you can actually order something on the internet that costs 7¢
It was around $5.50. But you already know that since you whipped out the calculator as soon as you saw the actual price. Didn't you?! Admit it!

Oops
In what appears to be an effort to break the monotony of hurricane coverage, CNN is reporting that
Miami is the capital of Florida
UPDATE: They fixed it. The caption used to say "A Miami sign warns rush-hour commuters Thursday that non-residents should evacuate the capital and the Keys." I have written a letter to the editor asking him to put it back the way it was so my post is funny. I am still waiting for a response
